The Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification covers switch and router administration for small and medium sized networks. You will gain skills in managing Cisco devices on a private network, with multiple subnets, connected to the Internet.

Gaining the CCNA certification qualifies you for the following job roles: Cisco network administrator, Cisco entry level help desk.

While not required, we recommend having A+ and Network+ training (or equivalent) before studying for your CCNA.

Cisco provides a single exam or a two exam option for gaining the CCNA certification. We recommend taking the single exam option (640 802) where possible. Passing this exam gives you the CCNA certification, along with the CCENT (introductory networking) certification.

Hands on Labs

The CCNA certification exam includes performance based questions that require you to complete switch and router configuration or troubleshooting tasks. For this reason, you will not be able to get certified without hands on experience.
