Gamespot's game of the year in 1997 features 3D-rendered units on pre-rendered and topographically mapped terrain.

Files are zipped bin+cue taken from my personal retail disks,this is not a rip! cd music should work. (it was recently brought up that the track dividers for the CD audio are off by a couple of seconds.)
there is still an active modding community that puts out maps, units and total conversions. there is even a cracked .exe(not included) that bumps the unit limit to 5,000 which with me and 3 AI players, makes my computer come to a crawl.

I reccomend using the best computer you can throw at it. Installs and runs great in XP. It also supports high resolution video modes. Running at 1600x1200 you can see a huge portion of the battlefield.
