Multiboot disc is primarily meant for "clean" install from a bootable CD (in Bios on the menu Boot exhibit, First boot device-CDROM). Installation is performed in manual or automatic mode, after selecting which disk to install. Entering the serial number does not require updates from Microsoft without any problems.
