COMSOL Multiphysics - software package for finite element analysis in various fields of physics and engineering, including consideration of related (multifizichnyh) tasks. Among these disciplines - mechanical structures, heat transfer, engineering, chemistry (including taking into account chemical kinetics), electrical engineering, acoustics, geophysics and related phenomena on the micro-optical and high-frequency effects. Thermal Stress: A stator blade in the turbine stage of a jet engine is heated by the combustion gases. To prevent the stator from melting, air is passed through a cooling duct in the blade. The resulting temperature gradients introduce significant stresses. Shown is the temperature distribution throughout the blade, as well as the von Mises stresses in both welds.
