Colour Me Free! is the fourth studio album by English soul singer-songwriter Joss Stone. Originally scheduled for an April 2009 release, Stone's label, EMI, pushed back the album's release to July; it was ultimately confirmed to be released on 20 October 2009.

The lead single is "Free Me", released on 22 September, which "is about being free in every sense, especially in music senses"

Stone stated that the album was written and recorded in about a week in Devon in early 2008. It was recorded at Mama Stone's-a music venue in Wellington, Somerset, owned by her mother, Wendy Joseph, which also includes a recording studio and writing facilities.

For her latest disc, "Colour Me Free," the Brit singer goes back to her original strategy - honoring textbook retro-soul. But there's an encouragingly different outcome this time.

Here, Stone shows more assurance in the groove and she seems more connected to the feelings she's singing about. The fact that she is a bit older - all of 22 - no doubt helps. So do the arrangements. It's a far more stripped-down sound than before, which leaves more room for Stone's newly grounded vocals to shine.
