Apple has released its iPhone OS SDK 3.2 Beta 4 for iPad which follows beta 3 released several weeks ago. The package contains both the latest build of the iPhone OS 3.2 for iPad, and the iPhone SDK 3.2, for iPad development.
There are still no reports of any added features in the beta 4 but as the iPhone OS 3.2 has just been released it will take some time for programmers to go through the update. The pattern of OS release is similar to that of iPhone OS 3.0 and indicates that Apple may release the firmware for new iPad on Saturday, April 3.
The release of iPhone firmware is somehow related to Dev team’s strategy to release its 3.1.3 baseband 05.12.01 jailbreak exploits. As Dev team has posted on its blog its suspicion over the Apple’s intention of releasing iPhone OS 3.1.3 and may have planned to flush out any exploits before launching a major iPhone OS update.
For iPhone 3GS users who have got their phone update to OS 3.1.3 may have to wait until iPad’s launch which coincides with the iPhone firmware 3.2 release. We hope after the launch of iPad Dev-team may release its tool to jailbreak iPhone OS 3.1.3 with baseband 05.12.01.
